Hey guys, this is my first time posting here so forgive me if I break a rule or whatnot. Anyways, recently I moved to a new apartment and when finally setting up my computer I tried playing skyrim - absolutely no where near the performance I used to get. Long story short, my gpu is being detected by my mobo however it seems like there is no activity coming from it. The fans are spinning but there is no work by the gpu being done.

I have already tried resetting it in the mobo, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, overclocking my cpu... Do you guys have any ideas on what I should try next?

My specs are:

AzRock z77 motherboard
2x4gb g.Skill ram sticks
i5 3570k Intel processor
MSI AMD 7870 Ghz Edition
650W PSU

Thank you in advanced.

OK first check Device Manager under Display Adapters does it show that the AMD 7870 is working correctly? If so move on to something else.

Is the monitor cable plugged into the 7870 or into the motherboard? The reason I ask is because you moved it is possible that by accident you might have plugged the monitor into the onboard display instead of the 7870 and that would slow down the graphics by quite abit.

Yes, it says that it is working correctly. Also I have a dual moniter set up. So one uses an HDMI that I connect to the card and the other I connect by VGA to the mobo. I will try to switch around and see if it works.
