So here is the deal. I am upgrading a PC soon and want to stay as low as I can... (Not that I won’t spend the money if I have too that is)
The aim is to run games like Farcry 3 and Bioshock Infinite at their highest settings.
This is what's in the machine at the moment.
• AMD FX-4100 3.6GHz Quad-Core CPU
• Gigabyte M68MT-S2 Motherboard
• 8GB DDR3 1333 (2 x 4GB) Memory w/ CL9 Timings
• AMD 6670 1GB DDR3 PCI-e Video Card
• 500 Watt Power Supply
I want to upgrade the video card the most, and I hate the power supply so it is definitely going to be upgraded.
That said, I really don’t want to touch any other part of the machine for now.
These are the cards I have been kicking around for upgrades.
The Radeon HD 7750 for an upgrade? No new PSU needed… (Save money for the time being? can it get the job done?)
A Radeon HD 7790 for the task (Maybe?)
Using the Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB to replace my 6670? Is the money worth it?
How about a basic stock GTX 660 for the job
Also worthy to note...
I WILL NOT BE OVERCLOCKING OR DOING ANY SLI/CROSSFIRE OPTIONS ON THIS MACHINE.
Thanks for any and all help.
