Well that's pretty hot, but yes, there is nothing wrong. Make sure your case has good airflow, and if you overclocked the card then turn it down a bit, if you didn't overclock the card, just download something like EVGA Precision X or MSI Afterburner and put the fan speed up a bit. I find 44% - 45% fan speed to be the sweet spot.

Alright, and really, 80°C sounds like a lot, but many cards reach that and graphic cards are designed to withstand much more. Usually 80°C would be a point where you'd freak out if your processor reached that, gpu? you're fine, as long as you don't go over 90.

There is absolutely no problem with 79c, that is very normal particularly during hot summer season. The question is how fast are your fans spinning? If they are running abnormally high, then that would be a problem to address.

The Galaxy GC has fans that pull out from the heatsink for cleaning, maybe one of these was loosened and is rattling. Make sure your fans are securely clicked into place.

Since he didn't tweak anything, his fans are running at the standard 35%. I told him it's normal, he'll be fine with 44% fan speed. And you're right about this summer season, that's why I love winter, OC EVERYTHING!

That is because Dishonored is not a power hungry game, but yes, if you wanna ready up for next gen games, check if you have any slots in your case for extra fans, and install what you can, your best option is to install a side fan that goes on the side panel that is removable (if you have a slot there) because that fan will send direct airflow towards the graphics card. But once you put it at 44% fan speed, you'll see a pretty big difference.

If you think it might be your case fan, you can disable it and test again. You can also replace it with a high quality fan. I recommend anything by Noctua or Scythe "Gentle Typhoons".

I also found that having my case fans run at their default 1600 RPMs is too loud, so I adjusted them with Speedfan.

You can download SpeedFan here (goes straight to the download):

Speedfan, Speedfan, Speedfan... or you can adjust your fans through your BIOS. Speedfan is better because you can adjust in real time from the desktop and hear the noise level go down while also monitoring your temps to see if there's any major impact.
