I am trying to build a new gaming PC and have fallen out of line with the current trends. I found these components and need any and all advice. I am still looking for liquid cooling options for the case (closed liquid cooling), Wireless and Wired Network card and sound card. Please help!

If you're looking for an elite sound card, your best bet (for gaming specifically) Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus, now this is made for gaming, but it excells in all uses, it is one of the very best sound cards, destroys all others.
Watercooling, I'd say H100i or H80i depending on compatibility with your case. If you can give me the budget for each component, (sound card, watercooling, and wireless card) I can find the best there is out there for you.

GEt 8gb RAM. 16gb is a waste for gaming. Most all games use 4gb max.

Get an i5. An i7 is a waste as well because it performs the same as an i5 in games. Ale you can only overclock the k version of the CPU.

Get a PSu from Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic. Thermaltake isn't great.

Motherboard, MSI Z87 G65, your best option. Price to performance, it's unbeatable, it's cheap, offers a whole lot of expansion and is just great for gaming and overclocking.

Computer case, HAF X, no doubts, one of the best cases. The HAF stands for High Air Flow, and if you look at reviews, you'll see that it lives up to it's name, this case will support up to 4 graphics cards, and is designed for maximum airflow to components like the processor and graphics card.

I hate to ask such a huge request, but what would you recommend to go with it? CPU, Ram, Sound card, Wireless/wired network, power supply. I really am at a lose. I want to keep the 780 gtx, but I am willing to forgo anything else.

Can you give me a price limit for the PC? Then I can set up something sweet.

Hey mate, I finished fixing up that build for you, and it ended up being cheaper than the one you originally had in mind, so then I added a thing or two. Here it goes:

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116899
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130692
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233527
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148834 I chose this instead of the one you had because the 2TB variant of the Barracuda is known to be extremely quiet, robust, durable, and performant, you can add another one if you want and RAID 0 them.
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119225
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010
Watercooling for CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181032
Sound card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132054R
I didn't change the SSD, Optical Drive, or Graphics Card.

I hope you're satisfied, if you ever don't like one of these, tell me and I'll look for an alternative, but this is honestly the best there is, you have a decent budget, so it wasn't hard finding the right stuff for you.

Thank you so much for the help sir. This is a great build to work with! I just have two last requests: what is your opinion on the two monitors I selected, and what would you recommend for a wireless option, wired option, and additional liquid cooling (if needed.) also, the sound card is listed as open box only. Should I look for one that isn't?

First, what type of gaming will you do? FPS? MMO? RTS? Because I myself have been looking into that 1440p monitor, but the response time was too slow for competitive FPS gaming. At 60 fps it was sometimes 2 frames late.

I plan to play all of thee above. Final Fantasy 14 for MMO, Battlefield 4 for FPS (and others), Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed 4 for action, and Company of Heroes 2 and any others for RTS. I am also planning on uses these screens with my PS4 as well.

Forget about the Dell if you're gonna play FPS games, look at this, quoted from an AnandTech review of the Dell "Here the Dell performs almost identically to the Nixeus that we recently reviewed, which means bad things for gamers. We have over a full frame of input lag, and then 11ms of pixel response time to bring our total lag up to 29.5ms, which is nearly two full frames on a 60 fps game." The ASUS laptop is perfect for FPS, but you'll need a color calibration I believe. The gamut of the monitor is crappy.

Well since you have a beefy build it really comes down to a decent 120hz/144hz. And since I have nothing better to do, I decided to find a monitor that combined those 2 you found, and I did just that. I found the best 1440p for gaming. Overlord Tempest 270OC. This monitor will have to be overclocked to 120Hz, but it's a quick and easy process and the overlord website has a tutorial on how to do that.

I am looking at the monitor now. I noticed it only has two DVI inputs. Would you recommend me getting a second monitor for my ps4 later or just use a hdmi to dvi switch? Just a random question. Thank you so much for the help thus far. All that I need now is a sound card, network card and mouse/keyboard combo. Maybe more liquid cooling.

I know just which keyboard you should get, right now, there's 2 very good ones out there, Corsair K70 and Corsair K95, K70 is for FPS gaming, K95 is for MMO since it has 18 programmable buttons, they both use Cherry MX Red mechanical switches, which are by far the best keyboard switches, they will give you the fastest response and double and triple tapping can't be easier. It's up to you whether you want the version with interchangeable WASD and 1 to 6 keys from the K70 or the 18 buttons from the K95, I also find that the keyboard has a very stealthy and professional look to it. It's made of aluminium so you won't have to worry about it breaking, and you can individually control the backlight of each key. A great mouse is the Cyborg RAT 7 (or RAT 9 if you want a wireless version). Made for FPS, it can also be used for MMO since it has 6 programmable buttons and 3 profiles, for a total of 18 buttons. Another good mouse is the Logitech G600, rocking 12 or so buttons, you'll have a handful of custom actions. Corsair also have very good mice, but I'm not too familiar with them so you should look them up, I know they recently released a new line of mice that look amazing and are unbeatable in terms of performance.
For now, you really don't need any additional watercooling, but if in the future you decide to add a second 780 or something, leave me a message and I'll definitely help. For the sound card, what will you be using it for? I know the ROG one I showed you is pricy, but it really is a top of the line sound card. I will be buying one for myself very soon.

Here is the final build! I decided to not get a sound card due to my use of a gaming headset.

Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse on this one

Please let me know what you think! I hope to order tonight.

My last request is any recommendations on Wireless/Wired options, what operating system you recommend, and if I should get any other liquid cooling.

I just received the post from earlier about the keyboard and mouse, liquid cooling. Thank you for the amazing suggestions! I might go with the 95 for now (only getting one keyboard at the moment) and having trouble finding the mouse, but I read good reviews.

Thank you for the information on the other topics. I decided on not getting a sound card/network card since I did not have a good Internet option (Comcast is terrible) and I use a headset 98% of the time. Liquid cooling for the second gtx will be in the future, so I will take you up on your offer!

Windows 7 is definitely a killer OS, a 64 bit version would be great, and if you can afford Windows 7 Ultimate, it comes with a whole bunch of cool applications to work with. You are good to go with a watercooled processor, you don't need any other cooling, if you ever get a second or 3rd graphics card, then you might wanna look into watercooling them as well. EK Waterblocks for the Titan are a perfect fit, and I know one or two watercoolers that fit. May I ask, which headset exactly do you have in mind, I know a handful about headphones (gaming especially), and if you tell me what you're looking for, I'm sure I can dig up a nice list from my memory.

I am good on headphones right now. I have been using the Plantronics Gamecom headphones for years. I will look into Windows 7 Ultimate and I went ahead and went with the Corsair K95 and the Logitech G600.

Great choice, you have a great rig, have fun gaming. And with such a good card, don't let me down, do some overclocking, you got one of the coolest cases around, adding 100mhz to the clock and 200mhz to the memory clock should be achieved while keeping low temps. Definitely tweak your card a little. Here, use this as a refernce, ( http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/evga_geforce_gtx_780_sc_acx_review,26.html ) of course, they pushed the card to its limits, you don't need to do that, but a nice overclock does come in handy. Gamecom headphones are indeed really good ones. With such a beefy card and that amazing monitor I suggest you try out games like Metro: Last Light on 1440p, you'll get a nice 50 fps, and it's really a game with a tremendous level of detail, the storyline is nice too.

You're welcome! I've been helping a bunch of people today, and you're by far the nicest and sound like the most mature out of all, and that's what pushed me to helping you. Anyways, I have to go so I'll be leaving you, I hope you will be satisfied with your new PC. :D
