Need advice for system upgrade

I have have given up trying to trouble shoot my MOBO (Asus p6x58d-e) gone through all the steps short of replacing the MOBO. I have an i7 950 and trying to find a new MOBO for it will cost me almost as much as upgrading the CPU and MOBO. I have replaced everything in my system except for the CPU, MOBO, HDD, and Graphics card. So what would be the best bang for the buck for a new CPU, MOBO, and graphics card under $600?

Current system:
i7 950
Asus p6x58e-d
Nvidia EVGA GTX460
12gb Corsair Dominator 3x4gb 1600mHz
Corsair HX650 PSU
WD 500GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD

Will use it for 90% gaming 10% other.

  1. i honestly think you should keep this build for another few years and then upgrade or wait for the next GTX series to come out.

I cant get my pc to post. No beeps, DRam light on constantly. Tried damn near every trouble shooting advice there is. Finding a MOBO for my i7 950 for a decent price is almost impossible, unless i buy used. Which then i have to worry about getting a bad board.
  3. keep video card, keep cpu, replace board. Save money on card and cpu. If motherboard is harder to find cheap and good might as well save up for a better board.
  4. It is very hard to find a MOBO for socket LGA1366 new. The ones i have found that are new cost around $300.

After looking around i found i could get an i5 4670k, Asrock Extreme 4 MOBO, and GTX 650 ti boost 2gb for under $600. If i lived near a micro center i could get it for under $500 lol. Would these be a good deal?

If things are a little expensive for you for the i7 mobo then get a down/upgrade. Since you can buy the three things you need already.
