The icon for log off on start menu is not there; microsoft says this can be remedied by going to customize start menu advanced option. There is nothing that shows up there that would allow me to do this. Any clues? I google this, and apparently everyone has want previously to remove this, but after this build xp_sp3, it wasn't there, or I at least don't remember it being there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this registry key exists, try setting it's value to zero or possibly remove the entire key. The value listed below is to turn it off.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
DWORD: StartMenuLogOff, value=1

For safety sake, you may want to back up this portion of the registry before editing it.
