PCI e 3.0 work fine with 2.0 slots

but if you are buying a mobo , why not buy it PCIe 3.0 ???

Asus Sabertooth /GEN3 R 2.0 is PCI e 3.0

If you buy it , be sure it is /GEN3 ... there is the same without /GEN 3
