Thanks for clicking.

Basically... i7 3770k or 4770k
And; I'm willing to consider there counter parts. (i5) i5 4570k or whatever they're called.

I'm aware haswell is hotter, and such.
But according to single core performance, which I think is most important the i5 and i7 version of haswell perform very well.

I might slightly overclock, nothing fancy to roughly 4.0GHZ so a .5ghz increase.

SO; about me.
Hardcore gamer, however I don't really "compress" or edit footage, or hardcore photoshop.
But, I do... Love multitasking, but I'm unsure if hyperthreading even accounts in these things I enjoy doing...

I like gaming, and being able to tab out (no hassle) perhaps stream with Xsplit, Multiple browser tabs open +60
Skype chat, steam, downloading things, you name it.. I'm a stickler for not ending task, and just letting my processor ride it out.

Looking for opinions based on experience and expertise, etc backed by reliable and constructive input.

Thanks
If you'd like other information on my intended build and design, feel free to ask.

Solution
Xsplit would be the only thing that "might" benefit from it, windows NO, games NO.

its going to be up to your wallet to decide. is that $100 worth it for Xsplit alone

Thank you for such a prompt response, So hyperthreading doesn't aid in Xsplit or anything of the likes?
Or even with Windows background task?

Just verifying that it doesn't

Thank you.

Only with higher end programs, I assume like you mentioned, Autocad, or visual studios?
