Battlefield 3 crashes with overclock

Solution
yes but i dont think you can go over 1.2v even if the app says you can... because i think thats the max imposed voltage set by nvidia.
also remember more volts means more heat and it climes fast. so make sure your temps are within range after you increase the volts and befor you start upping the clocks...
basically give your system a baseline for high voltage temps and go from there.
(honestly i thought that card had gpuboost 2)

Could you give me a little more info on your system specs?

not enough power to the gpu. nvidia have limited the max power that can be delivered to the gpu. this reduced the overall stability of the overclocks. its fine if you have a cherry picked gpu but if its middle of the road or less you just wont get stable after a certain amount, because the max voltage restrictions.
that card was already seriously overclouded compared to reference so i wouldn't be suprised if you couldnt get more than 75mhz extra out of it. it could also be a conflict between your overclocking app and bf3. i know msi afturburner had issues with it not sure if it still does because i stopped using it.

Yeah it has crashed with both MSI afterburner and EVGA precision.

I can change the max power target in evga precision. Would that help at all?

Your overclock is not stable, that's why Battlefield 3 is crashing. You have to increase the voltage, use OCCT GPU Test for stability. I had the same problem with my GTX 470. You have a bad OC chip just like me, welcome to the club. I'm not 100 percent sure that's the reason but it should be.
