the power icon animation while charging is not working. Strangely, it works properly, just after boot up but stops when booting is complete.any solutions?

Solution
it could mean the power isnt charging the battery just running the laptop. some laptops can happily run off the mains, while others constantly drain the battery and constantly charge it. so it could be your battery is fully charged and being used by initial boot, but because your connected to the house power the battery gets a small surge to replace what it just used and then stops charging. to test this. remove the charger and run off the battery for half an hour. then just plug the charger back in. the battery should start charging but now the icon should start moving also...

if it does this, it means your laptop has battery saving features that should extend the life to over double what they normally last...

Thanks HEXiT!, Regretfully, I was unable to log in to TOMs. But even with a deep discharge, the battery charges, but the icon animation is static. when I plug in charger, the animation runs for two cycles, then stops. Incidentally, the charging too stops at 80%. Doesn't go till 100%.

Right on the Dot! I called Dell Support, and they advised that since the battery was not charging beyond 80%, it would be advisable to line up a new battery, which will take 15 days or so.
BUT, they were unable to solve the issue of animation not showing when charging from 10% to 80%.

10 days later and the battery charging has improved to 93%, but the animation is still frozen!
