Hi I have a Asus P8H61-M PRO motherboard with 8gb asMint ram @ 1600mhz with 11-11-11-11-28 timings.

While playing crysis 3 on the scene with heavy rain and the helicopter, my FPS drops to around 29-30 with all very high settings and msaa x4. I am using the gtx 770 lightning @ 1080p and was wondering if my cheap OEM ram is causing lower fps and if there is a point of buying the corsair vengeance ram at all?

Thank you for any information

the Ram speed has minimal effect here dont bother ... it is just Crysis 3 :)

No..Even now that 8 gb is not being used fully..With MSAA 4X it likely to happen that way..no need to worry.
Better run in FXAA or SMAA 2X..I run my crysis 3 (i7/gtx 770 ASUS) on SMAA 2X for crispier gameplay

Hi thanks for the reply,

Could you tell me how much FPS you average on crysis 3 with your settings please as it seems you have the corsair vengeance ram. Thanks again

I have a i7-3770 (non-k)
