I have been trying to build a budget gaming PC, but I have no knowledge of PCs at all. I know its hard to tell from just words, but how much do you reckon this PC could handle. I have a pretty good laptop already (Dell XPS 15z) and I don't want to buy the PC and then find out that its worse!

Solution
well its not the best build but it should easily play games at high setting's under 1080p res. even at 1080p res, you can play most game's in medium setting's with 30+ FPS.

Hopefully the new Bioshock Infinite if I can, but I've got a few steam games that I later found out won't run on my system.
