Hey guys im new to these forums but im starting in on building my own MID-ATX desktop. I saw my friend take about 2-3 weeks figuring out what coolers he needed and he just ended up installing water cooling because it was apparently easier. But im not one of those people that likes to take the easy way out nor do i really like the idea of water running through my pc XD. So enough of my rambling. Heres the motherboard and cpu I am getting (Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128629) (CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116900) First off I need to know if those two choices are compatible.. From my knowledge they are compatible (hence they are both lga 1150 choices).. next is the heatsink and fan im looking into getting (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134). My question is are all of these compatible with one and other?

P.S. This is the case im getting if you need to know that too (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146087)

Well uh im not using water cooling... im using a heatsink and fan... i dont want to take the risk of having the water cooling breaking and water spilling on my 1000 dollar pc

if you get any out of it, it wont be enough to warrant liquid cooling. id get a better air cooler if it were me though. id get a cm hyper 212 evo, but thats just because of personal preference (it might be overkill), and i dont like the looks of the one you picked out. it will work though

yeah its compatible. look under the description on newegg and it gives you a list of compatible sockets. that one i recommended is a very nice cooler and will meet your needs well. the one sr-71 is also a nice option for about $10 less
