I bought a new hard drive the other day for the same computer that i've been using for a year. It's a custom build. How could i transfer windows 7 and my information from one to the other? Could i plug them both in at once and drag all the data including windows from one into the other?

Also, i was trying a different method earlier with fat32, but i decided not to with an external hard drive i have. Now ever since i did that it hasnt been showing up on my computer. Any suggestions on how i could fix it? Thanks everyone!

No, that won't work.

CloneZilla or DriveImageXML will do what you need.

That is specifically what those programs do. Go and read the documentation.
