Hi Musclehead! I currently run the 4770k with a custom cooling loop @ 4.8ghz and have temps around 35-47C between idle and full loads. With a CLC and High end Air coolers you can expect temps between 32-50C with an OC of about 4.6ghz. Hope this helped. Good luck with your new i7! =)

More then adequate. You are in the clear. Enjoy.
  4. I just OC'd my i7 4770k to 4.2 using the "CPU level up" option in Asus's bios settings. I realize this is not the best way to OC but I habe no experience manually doing anything.

Now, my idle temps are 28c.

When I stress the system with a torture test for about 20 min I peak at about 68c average, which seems a little high for 4.2??
  5. Sorry forgot to say I'm usingphanteks ph-tc14pe
