So I know there are already several forums about this, but I haven't really seen one that answers my question.
I am aware that the i5 is basically crowned king for gaming these days. But I was wondering if I may as well go with an i7?
Money isn't an issue, I have about 2,000 dollars to put into it, anyways, if I have the money should I go ahead and get it. Ill be using radeon 7970

General 1080p recording and gaming and editing afterward won't fulfill the i7 to the maximum. Just go with the i5, save some cash, get an extra SSD, a better GPU and so on. The only time you need i7 is some top notch stuff. I would recommend the i7 if you have access to a microcenter store near you and that's it.
