AMD Build or Intel Build (1k Budget)

Im looking to run current and Next gen games like BF4 at high/ultra settings with high/reasonable frame rates....
Here are the 2 build I have so far.

Im trying to stay at or around $1,000, any way to make the AMD build any better or cheaper..

Im leaning more for AMD since its cheaper and its a powerful 8 core cpu for use later in next gen games, Similar to next gen consoles...

Its either this or I get a Next-gen Console...

Help? :/

Even, the latest games don't use all of the 8 cores of the cpu...usually only 4. But what you can do with the AMD one is that you can switch off the 4 cores in the Bios and that will let you to extremely overclock the cpu. :)

Also, since you need the computer for gaming, the fastest the Ram the better...so the AMD one is the one I recommend to you.

AMD is more like "Value for Money"

Well, AMD CPU's do have more cores even though they aren't as powerful as the intel tho...

I heard AMD will be better optimized for next gen since battlefield 4 and most games will start utilizing almost all of the cores since the consoles will have that same AMD 8 core architecture....

Sure intel might be more powerful right now but I want to future proof for those games that will utilize all the cores such as the next gen consoles and games...

I dont want to be left behind with a last-gen intel when all these games come out, which most of them will likely not be optimized for intel...

anyway, both cpus are really good for gaming. You won't see a big difference in framerates though... The ram is more important in this case, the faster the better. Gpu is also important but since you have selected the same for both setups, it doesn't really matter. :D

Dont worry about the number of cores for gaming - Id be willing to bet my PC setup that the industry wont move away from quad cores for atleast another 3-4 years, regardless of the next-gen consoles. Proper PC games will be optimised for quad-cores because thats what the majority of people will have for the foreseeable future.

I see you selected different RAM for each build, but they cost both the same - any reason for this? Seems like a better idea to get the faster RAM in both.

Decided to get this build, although Intel might be slightly faster in games, its not worth and extra $20
Plus , This core is an overclocking monster, I will put a cpu cooler later on but for now when I get it i will use the cpu stock for gaming....

Plus they are developing most next gen games based around AMD so I will have developer support for this cpu...

Heck, even the PC on the Battlefield 4 E3 Showroom Floor used the AMD-8350 STOCK, And played battlefield 4 no problem....

Although I do have my CPU, I would like to know if my GPU is ok for next-gen gaming as well, I heard its a great buy!
