Hello,
I want to upgrade my graphic card to enjoy some upcoming new games.

Here's my system spec:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte P35-DS3L
Memory: 4 GB RAM (DDR2)
Power Supply: Corsair VS450 (450W)
Screen: ASUS 22" (max. resolution 1600x1050 I think)

Currently I have NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (64 SM4.0 1.75GHz, 512MB DDR3 2x1GHz, PCIe 2.00 x16) for a graphic card, and was thinking of getting something better. The price should be up to 170$.

So what do you guys recommend for this spec and price?

Would agree with the above. The CPU and 4gig ram is going to hold you back on getting anything much higher. Plus with only a 450w PSU and low monitor resolution. I know that is not what you really wanted to hear but really you are in need of a new rig.

However if you were to upgrade your GPU and PSU now they could be carried over when you upgraded the rest of the rig. So if you were to go for say a GTX 660ti and better PSU at some point then upgrade your CPU motherboard and ram keep the PSU and GPU for the new build.

Any graphics card you decide to buy in the past 5 years is gonna bottleneck your system. So I would go with upgrading Items that will carryover to a new system as bryonhowley mentioned. 850 watt powersupply would be great for future builds.

Thanks guys for the great answers! Will have to think about getting a whole new rig tough.

Was thinking of Radeon HD7750, you think it's too much for this below-the-average rig? :)
