And was reading a random review on http://www.bestbuy.com/site/NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+780+SC+3...

And I saw "PNY 560ti-dedicated PhysX, I7 2600k-oc'd @4.2 ghz, " What is he talking about? How can you have a 560-Ti dedicated for PhysX? I'm not very SLI literate but it made no sense to me.

More about : buying 780

well you wouldnt be running it in sli, but you can use a seperate nvidia card just to process physx effects in games. with a card like the 780 though it really shouldnt be necessary

yea, sometimes u can use the second card just o process physx effects in games but u dont need to to that with a 780, if u are planning buy a 780 i recomend you to buy the evga superclocked gtx780 with acx cooler u can beat a gtx titan with that !!! :)  or the pny :)  u have lifetime warranty :)  or if u have a little more money u could buy the asus oc direct cu 2 gtx 780 or the msi gtx780 gaming series both are pretty awesome !!! hope i helped :)

The reason I asked about the SLI for Phys X was if I could somehow make use of my 650 later on, like if I use it to run Phys X on my friends 670 rig.

Oh yeah, definitely. You just install it in an available PCIe slot, no SLI bridge required. You can then select the new card to handle PhysX in the Nvidia Control Panel.

You just need to make sure that you play GPU accelerated PhysX games (Borderlands 2, Batman Arkham series, Planteside 2, Mafia 2, Hawken, Metro Last Light, Rise of the Triad, the upcoming Witcher 3, etc.), otherwise it won't do anything and will be a waste of time. In PhysX games, the dedicated PhysX card will take the PhysX load off your main graphics card and increase your framerate significantly. A 650 with a 670 would be a good match.

I'm sorry, 17seconds. I missed this somehow. I read it and was quite excited so I went to work on it. I did order my 780 so now my friend is excited to get my 650 as his PhysX card.

However I did decide I'm building an entire new rig so now having some issues deciding RAM/Mobo :(
