Hey everyone :)

About two weeks ago I reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium onto a new SSD whilst retaining my old HDD to store some programs, media etc. Ever since then, I have had issues with downloading over the internet (examples below). I am using the most recent edition of Firefox.

Problems:
Watching videos on Youtube: The video will load perfectly in any quality but for only a few minutes, after that, the video will simply stop loading and the video will freeze (without the Youtube buffering symbol appearing)
I also have the same issue with Netflix and any other video streaming site.
Also, during Skype calls to certain people the call will drop after a few minutes.
Furthermore, when downloading anything (ranging from 10MB to 2GB) the download will just stop randomly, if I pause and then resume the download it will work again for a few more minutes, and then freeze with no explanation.

Notes:
I firmly believe this issue is related to my computer NOT my internet network for a number of reasons :
1) I have no other issues on any other device (I've actually had to resort to watching videos on my 6ish yo laptop rather than my newish desktop). It works fine on my phone, old laptop and all my families laptops.
2) I took my computer over to another house the other day and still experienced the same issues on his network.

Also, I am connected via wireless WiFi to a BT HomeHub 2, my ISP is obviously BT also

Steps taken:
I have tried switching browsers, the issue still exists on IE and Opera (Chrome for some reason simply crashes as soon as I open it, not sure if this is related or not).
I have reset the router and my computer many times and it does not seem to make a difference.
My network adapter is a 'D-Link DWA-140 Rangebooster N' and I have downloaded the most recent drivers for it as supplied by the D-Link website.

Please help! I can't continue using this computer with this problem! :(

Thanks.
