AM3+ vs SAM3+

Confused here, are these two the same sockets? I'm thinking of buying AMD FX-8350, but looking at product name on some shop sites and it shows SAM3+ there, while in the specification it shows its a AM3+. What is a SAM3+?

The S may actually refer to "Socket". So SAM 3+ would just be saying Socket AM 3+. There is no different thing called SAM 3+ though as stated above.
