Hi all.

So I just replaced my old integrated graphics card with a new one. Everything went fine. Only issue was with the power cords. They are two 6 hole cords and my card has an 8 and 6. The first fits fine, but I don't know what to do with the 2nd cord. It fit into the 8 hole slot, well, 6/8 of the holes, and when I booted up my computer I didn't get the prompt that there was a power cord problem like I did before. My screen said to press esc for startup menu (HP) and the next screen was some of my specs (nothing looked off) and it said again, esc for startup menu. However the keys wouldn't work like on the first screen. I tried F2, 8, and 12, and eventually the rest to no avail. What's going on? Is it the power cord in the 8 slot?

Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the reply. My PCI-e slots on the card is 6 and 8 and my cords are both only 6. By using the 6 on the 8, is that the cause of the boot issue?
