this is my first time setting up a home I. P. outdoor wireless network security system.
I have the wireless router and the computer with window 7
I need the camera to be wireless and connect into my wireless router.
I will be hard wiring the camera into electric supply (no outlet ).for the power supply
the cameras have to be wireless....there is no way to run cable to them
I need a camera with good night vision and motion detection...sound isn't required. I don't think dome camera are going to suite my needs. I think I need Pan/Tilt/zoom . I will need them to be self monitoring. ( I wont be setting at screen watching). I will check them daily if need to view invents. I will be putting camera on 4 corners of the outside of my house. I live in Indiana and we have cold winters, my budget is about 200.00 per camera. night vision is about 150 feet. can you suggest something for me

Solution
I suggest a full standalone DVR system, rather than trying to integrate into a PC.

Something like this:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Securityman-4-CH-2-Wireless-Security-System-with-7-in-LCD-SD-DVR-and-Night-Vision-Audio-DigiLCDDVR4/204230394?N=c1xvZ1z0yhpiZ1z1110e#.UgGLQG3Nl8E

However, one or more of your requirements don't go well together.
150 feet at night is almost impossible at that price point. Night vision is done by IR LEDs. Illuminating at that distance is tough.

And me personally, I'm not a fan of wireless cameras. Just another intrusion vector.

thank you for your help ....
but I have to go wireless and I have a computer so I don't need a
DVR system ,,,,,
can you use the camera you suggested with out the dvr and have them record to the computer?
and can I hard wire the camera directly in to 110 v. Electricity ? and if so do I need anything extra

I was looking at the wireless system you suggested and see they have plugs that plug to outlets ......my problem is my house I have no attic.....so that is why I need to go wireless and where I need to put them there is
Electricity but no outlet ...also I can work around the night vision by getting more camera and mounting them to make up for the night vision problem .... I live in a bad area so this is why I need cameras
