Hello, I recently built a computer and installed all software, drivers, and windows updates that I would need. When go and try to play games, I can play for a little bit. Then, my computer freezes or I get BSOD with error Stop:0x000000F4. Usually before this happens, Skype will crash giving me a message that says "Disk I/O error" if that helps. How can I fix it so that this error does not reoccur? It has happened multiple times. I have already tried re-installing the CMOS battery on the motherboard. I have the latest firmware for my SSD and drivers for my motherboard and graphics card. Please reply if you can help, as this has been going on for almost a week and my major use for this computer is gaming which I can't do on it right now. My specs are as follows:

Windows 7 x64
i7-4770k
Asus Z87-a
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz
Corsair HX750 Modular power supply
Corsair H80i liquid cooler
EVGA Superclocked GTX 760 ACX
Samsung 840 120gb Solid State Drive (boot drive; has the games installed on it)
Seagate 1TB Hard Drive

Was Windows 7 clean installed on the SSD? And were the games clean installed on the HDD, or were they already on there from a previous installation?

The SSD was brand new, so nothing was on it. It was a clean installation of windows, as well as the games.

Try it with Skype disabled. In fact, how much stuff do you have running in the background? Go to System Configuration/Start Up and tell me how many boxes are checked. How long has the PC been in service?

The PC has been in service for 6 days. There are 11 programs checked off in Startup.

EDIT: Tried without skype, still crashes.
EDIT #2: I can play League of Legends without it crashing without skype.

You might want to update your BIOS to the latest version, although the board is so new, I doubt that would offer a fix for your issues.

11 items in your start up isn't too bad, but it seems like a lot considering it is only a few days old. Uncheck the ones you don't think you need. Something may be conflicting with something else. You can always recheck them if you need them. Use this site to see what each does if you are unsure: http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_search.php
Type in the name you find in your start up tab "command" column; the string after the last backslash. You might also check how much is in your Start/All Programs/Start up folder.

Another thought: Run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both. That will get rid of registry errors, junk files, resource wasting crap, and other conflicts. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
You may have to run it more than once; until it comes back clean.

When you installed Win7 on the SSD, did you follow the different protocols associated with putting an OS on a SSD that differs from a HDD? I like to follow this tutorial to avoid the pitfalls that sometimes arise due to the differences:
http://www.computing.net/howtos/show/solid-state-drive-...
Some of these tweaks can't be done after the install. They have to be done before/during the installation.
Here's another view on installing Win7 on a SSD: http://www.overclock.net/t/1156654/seans-windows-7-inst...

Have you been installing/uninstalling devices on your PC quite a bit?

See if this is any help to your situation:
1) Remove the CMOS battery
2) Reboot
3) Re-install the battery (maybe get a new one)
4) Reboot again
