I was trying to install a new CPU cooler (coolermaster hyper 212) and when I put my PC back together... no nothing. Not a twitch, or glimmer of anything. Trying to figure out what could be wrong.

I have an Antec 300 case and the fans are hooked directly (well.. sorta indrectly.. there's a bunch of wires involved) to the PSU.. they are not going.. is that a good sign that it's a problem with the power supply? Would they be going?

What connections exactly would I need to get a light on the motherboard?

It would be an insane coincidence if my PSU gave out just when I decided to open 'er up and do some work.. I thought I was grounded and stuff but.. whoo knows I guess

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Six-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI 870A-G54
Case: Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Silent Pro 700W
Graphics Card: XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB

First thing to try is take the memory out. Put it back in and push firmly, make sure you're grounded, make sure you here them click, make sure they are in the right slots. Good luck...

I tried the RAM thing.. redid the thermal paste because I had to0 much.
Checked all my connections I could see.

I want to know if there's an absolute minimum I should need in order to at least get 1-mobo light, 2-fans hooked directly to the PSU running.

I would plug in the psu and use a volt meter to see if it's getting power. You did flip the on off switch on the psu right? Sorry have to ask that, you'd be surprised.
