Will the AMD 9xxx series be 28nm or 20nm?

I really am confused here, different sources are going both ways, and Guru3d said it's leaked to be 20nm. Do you guys have any reputable sources that state which it is?

More about amd 9xxx series 28nm 20nm
  1. At first, the main release cards will be 28nm with the 20nm models releasing later on next year or further on. Thats what I have seen so far.
  2. does anyone know what date they will come out ?
  3. Date, no. Month, October, Im not sure a specific date has been put forth other than october.
  4. From what I heard, Apple screwed over the GPU companies by releasing 20nm GPUs with a few of their products next year, so we're probably not going to see anything smaller than 28nm until late 2014 or early 2015. BUT, If AMD does release 20nm GPUs, it would be because they've partnered with Apple recently. SO there is still a lot of speculation.
  5. im just asking would a hd 7970 be good for the next 2 years ? for gaming @1080p
  6. It would last you a long time, if you add a second card I guarantee it will.
  7. OOOOOHHHH Yeah mon!!! LOL, My HD 7870 pulls off some decent settings, I couldn't Imagine a HD 7970.
  8. oops i meant a hd 7950 and two of them wouldnt bottleneck a i7 2600k ?
  9. That should run fine, overclocking will help, but there should be no performance loss.

yea i will overclock the cpu and what running one or two of them
  11. Running 2, one will be nowhere near bottlenecking at stock speeds even.
