is geforce gtx 660ti compatible with amd fx(tm)-4100 quad core processor?

i bought a pc and it originally had a radeon 6670 in it and i thought it was time for an upgrade so i got a geforce 660ti, i started playing some games to test it out and it worked great for about 10 minutes then my computer shut off without warning, i had not updated the graphics card yet or anything, i have now but im scared to start running a game again because i dont want my pc to keep crashing, help please.

Please post all your system specs... CPU, Motherboard, PSU, etc.
It could be a power issue....

You need to tell us what your power supply is. Brand, watts, etc. If it's the stock one, you need to replace it. You don't simply put in a more powerful GPU without upgrading the horrendous stock power supply.

I actually wanted the components that make up you comp not the ms report!
You could have a crappy PSU but we won't know till you give us the component list!
