Just wondering if sli 770's will be enough for gaming at 1440p before I go ahead with the purchase. I have read some pretty conflicting answers. Thanks!

My suggestion is to try just one GTX770 and see how you do.
The GTX770 is a good card, and I suspect that might be all you need.
You can add a second later if you really need it.

I have my doubts about 4gb of vram. It is there because it sells.
Here is one analysis using GTX680, a similar card.
The net is minimal benefit.

It would be totally enough! Even though I only have 1080p monitor with 770 in SLI, most of my games can hit 130+FPS so for sure 770 in SLI can power 1440p no problem! :) I'm planning to get myself a 1440p monitor too in the near future.
