Video output goes out randomly

Okay about once every-other day i'll just be minding my own business and my video output will just go out and whatever audio I had playing will loop continuously on where it left off. The computer does not reboot or power off at all. What I have tried is unplugging the DVI cable and reversing ends(lol), unplugging monitor for 10 seconds, and updating to latest BIOS. If anyone has any suggestions please

To anyone wanting the answer to this I uninstalled my drivers, booted in safe mode and used driversweeper. Then installed the latest driver. I also cleared my CMOS. This seems to have fixed it.
