Hi,
I've got an AsRock z77 extreme4 motherboard, with Broadcom onboard LAN,
and I'd like to know if i can use the drivers directly from Broadcom's site, or if i have to use the ones from the AsRock site for any reason ?

Reason i ask is the one from Broadcom is a newer version, but im confused, because the driver from the Brodcom site is only an .inf, .sys and .dat file, and the AsRock one is an exe installer ? im positive that the driver i located on the broadcom site is supposed to be for my LAN chip, just unsure if i can use it instead the mobo manufacturers version.

Solution
Give a try, I used the ones direct from broadcom when I first got my EX4 and they worked fine, just put them in a folder, go into device manager open up the network adapter, tell it to update and point it to the folder, if any problems can always revert to the ones the Rock has

nice.. thank you for the perfect answer :) ..I'll give it a try then.
I'm just paranoid because i've read that you always should use mobo manufacturer drivers for onboard audio because they sometimes change stuff in the drivers, and i couldn't find anything about LAN drivers.
