Hi :)
I've just got a laptop with Seagate Momentus SpinPoint M8 1TB HDD and I wanna partition it in a way to get the best performance (because I heard that partitioning lowers the HDD performance)
so how many partitions can I make ??
and what size the hard drive holding the OS (win 8) should be ??
Any help please ?!
thanks in advance :D

If I were you I would create at least 3 partitions. One for OS and other two for data storage. Size of OS's partition, it's depend of what will you install. It should be at least 150GB. Other two crate same size.

I generally prefer one large partition the size of the drive and just use folders for organizing. That said, most people that do partition will generally use at least two. The first partition (the fastest) should contain the OS and programs. The other partition is used for storage (documents and such).
