Hi, i have a question:

right now this is my rig:

core i5 @ 3.20 GHz (up to 3.4 GHz turbo) Socket: 1156
8GB RAM Kingston Hyper X
1.5 TB Hardrive WD Blue
Microsoft Windows 7 Home @ 64Bit Original
HP Monitor LCD 23" 1920x 1080
Cooler Master 212 Hyper EVO
Cooler Master Case HAF X w/ USB 3.0 Full Tower
Cooler Master Power Supply 700 W Silent Pro

my motherboard and processor are old, 1156 socket, i will change them in the future, right now im just going to purchase a video card, can you recommend me one to play all games in ultra at 1920x1080? i have in mind this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GDDR5-2GB-WINDFORCE-GV-N760OC-2GD-REV2-0/dp/B00DGM8B6O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375851064&sr=8-1&keywords=NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+760+OC+Version

or this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-DL-DVI-I-SL-DVI-D-PCI-Express-11197-03-40G/dp/B009B6Y01Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375851273&sr=8-1&keywords=Sapphire+Radeon+HD+7970+11197-03-40G+3GB+GDDR5

of course any recommendations are highly appreciated, what do you think?

Solution
There is a 680 4GB version, on amazon for $492. The 680, I think, was discontinued and is difficult to get on most PC websites. If you can get a 680 4GB edition for about $420 or less, go for that over a 770. If not, go 770. The 770 gets about 5 fps more. Scrap everything about the 680, go 770. It is a much cheaper and is basically a souped up 680.

Do you have a budget? If not, a 690 would be overkill on most games. If you're going for games like Crysis 3, then I would suggest a 690 or a Radeon HD 7970, maybe even the GTX 770. I'd suggest going one behind the best from AMD and Nvidia so if you want to upgrade later, it would be cheaper. A GTX Titan could also accommodate for that
Summary (in order of best to worse with cost taken into account):
GTX 760/770
Radeon HD 7970
GTX 690
GTX Titan (not really recommended)
That 700 series is tasty though, so for my second recommendations I'd say that your 760 is a good performance to cost balance in comparison with the other cards, so would definitely be a great choice.
Out of 760 vs 7970, I would go 760 because it is $100 cheaper, although a card more on par with the 7970 would be the GTX 770 if you're comparing. Out of that, I'd go with 7970. I wouldn't be comparing the cards you put forth because they aren't competitors (directly). If you can get a 690 for cheaper, then I'd go with that. It depends, elaborate on what games you're looking to play and what other things you'd be doing. I have the most graphically intensive games in mind here.

If you can get a titan that's a significant amount cheaper than your cheapest 690 ($50) I'd go with that, but other than that the 690 is better. Although, I don't see why you're looking at these Goliath cards because it's a bit overkill for most games on that res. These cards I think are going to keep up with games for about 3-4 years (the titan and 690 mostly) as well as the 7990 (on AMD), so it will save a pretty penny in the future.

Do not go with the 690, if you're going in that price range, go 2-way SLI GTX 680 (I'd suggest the 4GB versions) but if you do go 2 way SLI, I'd suggest getting another monitor as well or one with higher res. The 2-way 680 4GB approach will outlive the 690.

Budget for the card is $500 but keep in mind that i will only be gaming at 1920x1080 23 inch monitor so i just need a card that matches my specs and will be able to max all games at the resolution that i will be playing, of course the cheaper the better :)

The Titan is basically the gtx 680 on steroids, e.g. 690...cost as much as the titan just the newer version to 680 ,,I would advise the 680 it's great for gaming at 1920X1080
