When is a good time to dust your computer?

In most cases (literally, cases) dust collects when airflow is weak in certain areas. Dust isn't necessarily a bad thing to have lying on your hardware but it does get dangerous when it begins to clog fans and ports. Judging by my own build I would suggest cleaning it one day (make sure you power off your entire system before touching components and ground your electricity by touching the case every now and then) and see how long it takes for the dust to build up again. If it takes a week, then do it weekly, if it takes a month, clean it monthly.

It is really based on how dirty it gets. I would say once dust gets visible, just barely, then dust it about a week sooner than that. The interior of mine has been relatively clean for the past 3 months, only needing one dusting. If theres alot of hair or dust where you live, sooner is better. I live in the mountains so I get dust very, very quickly.
