Hi guys, I just built of a mombo with ASUS Maximus VI and it doesnt show up the screen and mombo contains an error of 53 which is the ram. I wonder that is my ram G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 16GB F3-1866C9D-16GZH, compatiable with my board? If not why there is an error?
Updated: I tried to take out all ram and the mombo still contains the error 53. Also, when I tried to turn on the mombo, it is on for a sec then turn off for a sec then it turned on itself again. what is the problem.... I am so exhausted...
my build is in here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/timmy0000/saved/1Vj4

hi Timmy Tang. I had the same problem with my first build also. I got maximus vi formula with i7 4770k and corsair vengeance pro 2x4 GB 1866Mhz. I got the same error when turning on my pc for the first time, which is error 53, and the third led on my mobo (middle right) is flashing on. Since I do not have any spare memory ram, I bring it back to my local retailer shop. What they did is using another ram (i forgot what is the ram) with 8 Gb 1600 Mhz. They plug it on the mobo and my mobo started to boot. After that they change it back to my 1866Mhz ram and with UEFI bios, they adjust the frequency from 1600 Mhz to 1866 Mhz. Hope this help.

Do you have the latest BIOS? Can you get to BIOS, if so did you try under XMP? Have you tried booting with a single stick? If not try that, if one stick doesn't work, try another (and try each in slot 1, closet to the CPU)...if no joy after trying two sticks, would suggest pulling the guts and benching it, have a guide here that might help

Timmy, if this is your first PC build I suggest you ask someone experienced nearby to help you. Ask someone to help you debug this issue and then post back telling us what they find.

Make sure the memory latches in both sides of the slot as well.
