Okay but why over the other ones? Is it worth the extra 30 bucks or so?
Right now I'm looking specially at theASUS MAXIMUS VI hero or the ASUS Z87 Pro
Keep in mind I'll mostly be using the board for gaming with a small side of editing.

i would go to the maximus, because its made for gaming, you can overclock madly, and its an ROG motherboard, one of the record breaking overclocking was using a ROG motherboard. i would also recommend a saber tooth motherboard and the Z87-A pro from asus.
