basically i left my pc on overnight and woke up with the bsod critical_process_died... now whenever I boot it seems once everything is loaded like all the drivers windows hangs and evantually gets the bsod. now I can't upload the dump file because when i get the bsod it hangs at 0%. could my hdd possibly took a shit...?? sometimes I get memory_management bsod when leaving my pc on overnight and im pretty sure one of my ram sticks might be bad but it only happens rarely and i couldn't be bothered to run memtest86 and possibly rma it since my pc was still fully functional. I managed to disable all startup processes before it hanged and now when I boot it still does the same thing. anyways if u guys can help me out heres my specs:
gigabyte p55-ud4p
i7 860
4gb gskill ripjaw ddr3 (1600? I think cant remember)
evga gtx 260 core 216
corsair 750w
640gb caviar black (storage)
240gb sandisk ssd (os)

edit: and note that I didn't install any new drivers or anything tht I can possibly think of that caused this which si why I think it's hardware -related

Try running on one stick of RAM at a time, that would isolate down to one stick or if it continues to hang need to look elsewhere.
HDD?
Start, type cmd, Right Click on Cmd prompt and 'Run as Administrator'. Type chkdsk /f /r then Enter. (note spaces before /). Type Y and Enter to run the program when you restart Windows. Expect it to take a long time if you have a large drive. Use this to check out the chkdsk log

If strewn with errors try Seatools for Windows

i think it might be my motherboard? i booted gparted to shrink my partition on my storage drive to install an os on a new partition and it can't even really read the drive as it says the disk might be corrupt (storage drive though, worked fine) and my ssd doesn't even show up in gparted nor windows 8 install disc.
