Just built an almost new rig but the memory I have isn't really compatible. I bought some patriot 2x4gb kit(see link below) and when I got the package it said it was made for seventh gen Intel chips but I have an fx-8350. It runs but I ran into problems (pc black screens/restarts during games, hanging in browsers etc.) I had the timings set up correctly but i guess I just need some more modules. Switched to my old memory and the problems went away. Memory websites are telling me all different things. I thought i needed different timings since that's the direction the patriot site sent me in but Kingston and crucial recommended the same timings as the memory I have. If someone could recommend some memory that will have the least problems, similar specs to mine and around the same price range that would be great... Looking for a balance of cheap and reliable.
