Hey guys, i just finished building my first pc, specs are here:
CPU - FX 6300
MOBO - ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2
GPU - HD7850
PSU - CORSAIR CX500
RAM - KINGSTON HYPERX 8GB(2x4GB)
So my problem is when i hooked everything up it was fine, everything seemed to be running smooth cpu fan spinning gpu fan spinning front mesh led on mobo led was on, i got a beep from the mobo speaker that sounded normal when booting but i seem to get no video output. It could possibly be that i have an old monitor but it works fine with an older pc so i'm not sure.

Solution
are you using a dvi to vga adapter? make sure its in the DVI-I port if you do as only one of the DVI ports can be used with a DVI to VGA adapter

and make sure its plugged into the graphics card and not the motherboard.
