I wish to overclock my 3970X to 4.8Ghz using an Intel BXTS13X Cooler to run stably for 24/7 use. How feasible is this?

I want to know whether I can achieve this feat.

What will the lifespan of my processor look like, since I plan on keeping it stable at that speed for 24/7 use?

Thanks

I don't think you'll manage that, it'll be more like 4.0ghz-ish

Yes, and 4.0-ish with this one. Your point?

I think what they are trying to say is you can expect 4.0GHz or so out of the cooler you mentioned in the OP. But that CPU has the ability to meet your goal of 4.8GHz if you use a better cooler like, say, an H100. :)

Yes, both points clear. ;)
