Hi there

Is there a tool like an IP Scanner that can not only detect IP addresses, but tell you if that device has a static IP configured?

I'm having a constant conflict on my network and I'm checking as many devices as I can which would be causing problems.

Thanks in advance.

best thing to do is to manually configure the ip addresses on printers, managed switches, routers and IP phones and give them specific ranges for their use outside the IP range for the DHCP server.

if your using windows server, go into the DHCP service and clear all the IP leases so as computers start they will be given new ip addresses, also clear the DNS cache.

this has often solved all ip conflicts i have had often caused by ip leases not expiring.

The above answer sums it up, but if you want to simply find the fault, login to your router and there should be a "devices" tab. All connected devices will show up there with their respective ips.
