I have built a desktop computer in 1999 with Windows 2000 OS. Just recently I have updated the desktop to Windows XP Professional with SP3. It started today to where the desktop will not turn on. The power and battery light flash once when hitting the power button. I have unplugged all components to discharged holding the power button. Then replugged the monitor and keyboard & mouse then turn on with the same results. A generic spec. of the computer is
Abit motherboard w/Raid
separate video card
separate audio card
USB Card
PSU
512 MB which can be maxed out at 1.5GB
Sony 24x CD Drive
Floppy Drive
80 GB hard-drive
I have now did what some have recommended and updated the PSU but still did not fix the problem. But now my computer does not even turn on any-more.
