Hello,
I currently have two monitors plugged into my Graphics Card. One is connected via DVI-I and the other via DVI-D. This setup left me with two spare ports in the back of the GPU. The HDMI port and the DisplayPort. I recently bought a HDMI cable so that I can have 3 monitors. This will go into the HDMI port in the GPU then into a 32 inch LED TV.
My problem is, that I can't seem to extend all three displays. If I disable one, then I can have the other two, but never seem to have all three at the same time.
I have done a little research into this and have had mixed conclusions about what to do next.
One site said that the HDMI connection on the GPU shares the same connector as the DVI-D. Therefore could I remove my HDMI cable, buy a DisplayPort adapter, plug the DisplayPort adapter into the GPU, then plug the HDMI cable into that?
Another site said that it may be because of me using the DVI-I port connection to VGA. So must all the connections used be digital?
Take a look at my GPU here.
Would this DisplayPort adapter do the trick?
Thanks,
Aaron
