Hello to all: I recently switched from an AT&T gateway modem to a cable Cisco modem. I had previously connected the printer scanner into the AT&T gateway and was able to scan. When I switched to the cisco, my desktop with Pro system 7 will not find the scanner and printer. Please help. john

what printer model do you have? also, could you please tell us how they were connected, wireless, wired?

something to bear in mind when you say "modem" is that only one device can be plugged in at a time with a modem, whereas a router (often combined in the same physical box) can let you plug in multiple devices and they can connect to each other.

I think you mean cable modem. Anyway, if it worked with one, it should/will work with the other. There is something wrong with your network settings for the printer/scanner = not matching the new modem/router. It may be as easy as resetting the printer/scanner and letting it sort out the network. Depends on the printer, however, but you have nothing to lose if it isn't working now.
