Hi

Yesterday my pc parts arrived and assembled it

but the guy who assembled it said that the ram is not compatible with the mobo

the bios are updated but it does not work

when i used my old ram the system runs just fine but with Vengeance it does not boot

i can't return it so any help is appreciated

Motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005POPQZA
Ram: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CRSM4I

System

FX-8350
GTX 770
ASRock 990FX EXTREME3

Solution
Check MSCONFIG to see if it's limiting the DRAM

START > type MSCONFIG in the search window > ENTER > BOOT > ADVANCED and see if the max mem box is checked, if so uncheck it

Well, the memory is compatible with your motherboard and your processor. Hence, it should work without any issues. Have you tried installing the new memory alone like without mixing with the old memory? Reset the CMOS and try a BIOS update. Or go into the BIOS and set the freq a little lower . Lemme know if it works.

i entered the bios changed the freq from auto to 1333 (my old ram), shut down the system, uninstalled my old ram and installed one stick of the new ram and it worked, so i again shut down the system and installed the second stick ,entered the bios and changed freq to 1600 (the new ram) and worked fine

But now when i go to computer>Properties it tells me:

Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (3.96 Usable)

CPUz Recognize the 8 Gigs

They are in the correct order as mentioned in the manual : [____] [First Stick] [____] [Second Stick]

Tried to re-seat them but the problem remain

i have 64bit windows
