i know there's a lot of info over the internet about hdmi but still somehow here's my question..
i just bought this card:

and this monitor:

now the thing is,my gpu states hdmi 1.4a output port, my monitor has only hdmi and vga port (no DVI), now i wanna use the hdmi cable that came either with my 42" tv or with my DVD player(don't exactly remember which one is lying around)..i don't know which hdmi version is this cable or anything about it..
so, i wanna be sure that i'm getting best picture my gpu can deliver and my screen can display..
so, can i use this cable??
this monitor has 1920x1080 max resolution..
also, if in any case if i have to buy a new one, i'm inclined towards this super cheap cable :

i'm from india so in $,it's about $2 and is 1.5m
it states it's version 1.4 and some gold plated kind of thing, i don't know if any of those specifications are true(of course,gold plated is not true) but also V 1.4 is doubtful..will it provide me best picture quality till it keeps working??
sorry for these questions..i don't know anything about hdmi..
if any other detail is necessary about my system,i'm online for a few hours, so please don't avoid the thread
