Hello all,
I have a Philips all in one pc which ive been having problems with recently. Before the screen would sometimes go funny colours and crash, and the way I could fix this was to go into safe mode and then disable the drivers, and it would work again for a while.
Now it seems to have totally broken.
The computer its self is working fine, but the screen is liney and flashes, and it even goes funny on the Philips screen! (see pictures)
Im guessing this is no longer a driver issue and a new windows install may not fix this.
I've opened it up and noticed that the graphics card can be removed by 2 screws. So my question is, do you think if I got another 8400m gs, and removed the old one and put a new one in, the problem would be fixed?
If so, would another graphics card be able to be used or would it have to be the same one?
I am not a gamer, I just use the computer for surfing, so I have no need to a good spec card, just one that shows normal windows!
