I purchased a Lenovo Y500 laptop a few weeks back but due to it having Windows 8 on it, I have hardly used it since then because I personally do not like Windows 8. I want to put Windows 7 on it instead but the Lenovo Y500 does not have a disc drive on it stock and I don't really care to get one. Is there a simple way to downgrade to Windows 7 without a disc drive?

Thanks for all of your help. I don't mind if I have a clean install of Windows 7, I just want it as apposed to Windows 8 because I've been using Win 7 since it came out and I'm much more familiar with it compared to Win 8. Also, gaming is very awful on Windows 8.

you cant ..

There is a way to buy Windows 7 and install it from a USB flash drive. You will still need a computer with a DVD drive to make the image file. I can't find the link right now but there is a website with the directions on how to accomplish it.

But as others stated, a fresh install is the only way to upgrade to Windows 7.
