I will be playing games like skyrim, minecraft, runescape, and maybe black ops 2.

My parts so far:
CPU: Intel Core i3 3220
HDD: WD Blue 1TB, 7200rpm, 64mb cache
Case: NZXT Source 220 CA-SO22001 ATX Mid tower.
PSU: CORSAIR CX500 500w 80+ bronze.
RAM: 8GB(2x4) G.Skill, 240 pin, DDR3 1600
Motherboard: MSI B75A-G43
Graphics card: EVGA Superclocked GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5

Remember that I am on a sub 600$ budget. I am open to and changes if you have any.

Not bad, but could be better. Here's one option that's a little over your budget:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3350P 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock H77M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($69.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $619.92
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($39.99 @ Newegg)

I have to disagree, especially with the second build. The fx-6300 is about 7 % slower in gaming, and the 7870 is almost the same as a 660 yet doesn't have PhysX. As for the first build, well yea an i5 is faster then an i3 but also over budget.
