You do realize that you will need a lot of GPU horsepower to run that type of monitor.
My SLI 460s run my 1920x1200 24" Dell easily in games yet a 2550x1400 30" brought them to their knees.

only 27 - 30 in monitors come in that and they have the same dpi as a 24 inch at 1920x1080 so depends if you want to have a larger monitor.

what would be better is the 24 inch asus 144hz monitor is 1920x1080 but can display an fps over 60

so you're saying a 27inch 2560x1440 will look the same, quality wise, on a 24inch 1920x1080? would I be wasting my money if i bought a 27inch?

the asus 24 seems like a good pick but anymore monitors with say equal refresh rates and overall smoothness but with better color/picture quality..and probably 3d enabled?

a 24 inch with 1920 x 1080 looks no different than a 27 inch with 2560x1600 because it has the same number of pixels per inch just its a larger screen so the picture quality will be no better in terms of resolution.

that 24 inch asus is the best you can get and at 144hz its the fastest monitor going, it can do 3D at 72hz per eye, you will need to buy a newer nvidia 3d kit to take advantage of that.

I have a gtx titan. I decided on a overlord tempest 27inch which is 60hz but overclockable to 120H and it's also IPS =)
