Hi, I have a Netgear router that is used as an access point to my main router. Like this: FiOS Box->FiOS Router->Powerline adapter pair->Netgear Router. I configured the router and its all fine, and I get internet, but I can't get into the router to change its settings, namely I want to turn off its wireless. Now, I do clearly remember setting its ip to 192.168.1.2, so that it wouldn't conflict with my FiOS Router, it being 192.168.1.1. But, whenever i type in the Netgear Router's ip, it wont load. I looked on the back of the router, and it said the default login place is http://www.routerlogin.net, but whenever i type that that in to my address bar in chrome, in the autofinish menu it says "Verizon Search" next to it, always, and will always take me to the Verizon search page for it. Does anybody know how I can regain access into my router? Thanks!

***I no longer need help, I just got used to it***

Solution
assign a static IP to your computer like 192.168.1.10 and connect it to the Netgear LAN port. disconnect the Netgear from the powerline adopter and try logging into the Netgear again

Plug directly into the secondary router. Don't try to go through the LAN.

How do I assign a static IP to the comp? Also, the comp is directly plugged into the router, its how I use it. Bur before I try that, do you think the netgear Genie application that came with it that's on my laptop will work? Also, I tried connecting while it wasn't connected to the adapter.

ok in your tools in chrome,go to it and change your search engine... then retry to login to your router... at that point, you should be able to get in.

I have the same issue , it seems once you set the "internet " settings to point to your main router, the netgear defaults to a switch mode , and then can not be accessed via the www.routerlogin.net or the actual address (in your case 192.168.1.2)
to turn off the wireless use the button on the back of the router ...
or do a 30/30/30 reset ( www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Hard_reset_or_30/30/30 ) and address the wireless settings 1st , then the lan and internet settings
